Three generations, connected by education, community, and a belief in possibility.

Our family

The foundation brings together the extended family of David and Jean Nibbe. Dave taught and coached for 36 years and served as an athletic director for 20. Jean supported school activities and spent 25 years working with young people at the local grocery store, offering training, supervision, and encouragement.

Their children, Dawn, Jay, and Jeff, grew up participating in athletics, theater, music, and school activities. All three attended Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Dawn, the foundation’s CEO, is a high school teacher and coach. Jay, its Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman, is a business executive and former University of Minnesota instructor. Jeff, a foundation director, spent 10 years as Technical Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre.

Six grandchildren carry that involvement forward through athletics, music, theater, school activities, and higher education. All three generations are represented in the foundation.
