Our Giving Areas

The Nibbe Family is comprised of the extended family of David and Jean Nibbe. Dave is a retired teacher of 36 years and was actively involved in school athletics both as a coach for 36 years and athletic director for 20. Jean is a strong supporter of school activities, and worked with young people for 25 years at the local grocery store, which included providing training, supervision, and coaching to the school age employees through after-school work.

The three Nibbe children were all involved in school activities, including athletics, arts and theater, music, and various extracurricular events. Dawn, the Foundation CEO is a high school teacher and coach; Jay, the Foundation Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman is a business executive and former instructor with the University of Minnesota; and Jeff is a Foundation Director and worked for 10 years as the Technical Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theater. All three siblings attended Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The next generation of six grandchildren were, and continue to be involved in athletics, music, theater and a variety of school activities. Three of the grandchildren have attended universities to pursue their desired degree.

All 3 generations of the Nibbe Family are present in the Foundation.
